Gastrointestinal Oncology

Stanford University School of Medicine invites applications for a faculty position in the Division of Oncology at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor in the Medical Center Line. The candidate should have a record of accomplishment in clinical care, teaching and a focused area of expertise in the area of solid tumor oncology, especially gastrointestinal cancer and translational research. The major criteria for appointment for faculty in the Medical Center Line shall be excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, clinical teaching, scholarly activity that advances clinical medicine, and institutional service—appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill.

It is expected that the successful applicant will develop an independent and translational clinical research program. Participation in ongoing research projects is also encouraged.  Successful candidates will have demonstrated their ability to obtain research funding. Collaborations with colleagues in related disciplines, including research activities, and participation in tumor boards and combined modality clinics are important aspects of this position.
