Community & International Work
Scientific Focus
Research Interests
My research focuses on identification of groups at elevated risk for breast and gynecologic cancers, and on development and evaluation of techniques for early cancer detection and risk reduction. This work is highly collaborative within the Divisions of Oncology and Epidemiology, with the Departments of Radiology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Pathology, and with the Northern California Cancer Center.
Ongoing projects include studies of racial/ethnic differences in hereditary breast and ovarian cancer, early-phase breast cancer chemoprevention and treatment trials, and computer-based simulation modeling to evaluate new approaches to cancer screening and prevention.
Clinical Trials
